Where we work:
GeGe Real Estate is based in Hungary and we are specialized in Hungarian property. Our mission is to help and guide people who are interested in buying real estate in Hungary. Because of our experience and knowledge of local rules and regulations concerning the purchase of real estate in Hungary, we are able to help you to the full in your choices.
We mainly concentrate on houses and holiday homes in the Baranya, Tolna and Somogy provinces in the southwest of Hungary, the so-called region of South-Transdanubia. This part of the country is perfectly suited to most British needs. For example: plenty of natural areas, lakes, hills, mountains, rivers, creeks, cities, supermarkets, shops and shopping malls, restaurants, family parks, etc. And let’s not forget the great weather! Futher on, GeGe is also dealing with real estate in the capital Budapest, around Lake Balaton, and in the western part of Hungary, bordering Austria (the provinces of Zala, Vas and Veszprém).

Because we are a relatively small but highly professional company, a team of international experts in the fields of law, taxes, finance and economy, business and real estate development, and regional and town and country planning, we are able to guarantee a high level of personal guidance. You can count on our employees from the first contact by email or phone, up to, and beyond the actual purchase of a home in Hungary. We will take care of all the legal documents and arrangements. You will receive a complete set of translated documents for you to read and check before you ever sign anything. We refuse to accept the fact that other agencies actually don’t do this. You have a right to know what you are signing for and understand completely what’s going on.

The people:
Starting on the local Hungarian and the Dutch and Belgian markets, GeGe was founded by József († 2006) and Gábor Genzler from Hungary, together with Robert Kemkers from the Netherlands. Over the years, the company has expanded and is active now in many countries. Partly in cooperation with agencies, GeGe is selling Hungarian properties in countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Ireland and Norway. The company is headed and owned by Gábor Genzler, Robert Kemkers and Marc Nijhuis; together they manage a team of mainly relatively young, but experienced professionals in many fields. Further on, the company cooperates with well-known lawyers, other brokers, banks and financial experts.
Marc A. Nijhuis:
Born in Belgium, partly raised in England and Holland, Marc is a real globetrotter, who has been living in the Netherlands, Wales, England, Belgium, France, Spain and since 2005 in Hungary (Note: Hungary is permanent!). After many years of running his own marketing and ICT companies, followed by working as a real estate agent in Spain, Marc has come to work with GeGe Real Estate. He has been an entrepreneur since he was 18 years old, and studying marketing at University. He can guide you and help you in making business decisions like no one else. Marc is especially responsible for international contacts, marketing, the website (and systems), strategy and last but not least; selling real estate.
Spoken languages: English and Dutch (mother tongue), Spanish, German and French. Hopefully some Hungarian in the near future...
Gábor Genzler, LLM (Registered estate agent and real estate evaluator, registered lawyer-sollicitor):
After graduating at the Technical University of Budapest, Gábor went on to the University of Pécs where he earned his degree in Law. After gaining some experience at a local law firm and a local solicitor’s office he went back to school yet again to obtain his real estate license. He also has his own lawyer's office.
Gábor, a so-called 'Schwab' - a Hungarian of German origine - was born and raised in this area and knows everything there is to know about the houses and local county rules and regulations. A true key figure in our company, Gábor is especially dealing with legal questions, contacts with lawyers and authorities, valuations, the local Hungarian market, and finding and selling real estate, especially for the German markets.
Languages: Hungarian and German (both mother tongue).
Robert H.C. Kemkers, LLM, MSc:
Robert (of Dutch origine) has his master degrees in law, public administration and regional geography and urban planning (all cum laude at the University of Groningen). He is currently working hard on getting his Ph-D, by making a research at the universities of Groningen and Pécs on the administration of regional development policy in Hungary, in connection to the EU. He has been living in Hungary for the past 4 years and has mastered the Hungarian language. Robert knows all there is to know about real estate in Hungary and is always ready to help you with any kind of problem, big or small. He is especially responsible for legal questions, projects, strategy, translations and selling, while being the contact for the Dutch and Belgian markets.
Languages: Dutch (mother tongue), English, German and Hungarian (fluency), French and Frisian (basics).
Ms. Judit Komáromi, MA:
Judit Komáromi was born in Pécs, Hungary and studied History and Russian Language and Literature at the University of Pécs, of which she holds a Master's Degree. Additionally, she studied English. After her studies, she worked as a translator and interpretor for several companies and institutes in Hungary. Since studying languages is her hobby, she learned Dutch by herself for the last couple of years. She really likes this language and therefore she is very glad with her present job, in which she can practice all of them. Judit Komáromi is responsible for contacts with clients, both by email and telephone, especially international clients. She also helps customers with several things, including all papers, contracts, permits etc. She also makes research for projects, helps with translations and co-ordinates projects and special questions. Judit can be contacted by email and during office hours, she is the first responsible for contact by telephone, so probably you will be in contact with her!

Ms. Judit Z. Lengyel:
Just like her colleague bearing the same first name, Judit Lengyel was also born in Hungary. She studied in Miskolc (tourism and finance) and afterwards moved to the Netherlands. There, she learned Dutch and after a couple of years, she speaks it fluent. She likes to combine languages and deals for our company with external contacts by email, especially with new clients. Additionally, she helps with translations, research and making contacts.
